'replaced'
Changmin-centric
Nothing remains the same for very long...

Changmin logged out quickly, unable to continue any longer as he felt his anger grow. How people can call themselves fans one moment, then in the blink of an eye say such horrific things about the person or persons they once claimed to love was completely beyond him. Since when was the mistake of a single person the fault of six others?

Sighing, he got to his feet and began pacing the dorm that he and Yunho shared. It was so quiet without Jaejoong and Yoochun's soft whispers and laughter, or Junsu's annoyed insult slinging with Hyukjae. Everything was just so dark lately. 2PM, Super Junior, and they themselves. Three indomitable forces of the entertainment business all at standstills.

While legality and personal issues sidelined the three, it made room for newcomers to take their places. There were days when Changmin simply felt replaced, yet he couldn't fault them in the least. They were simply doing what they loved when they had the opportunity, and he honestly couldn't be happier.

He only wished the fans would accept that things change and they aren't as saintly as they're believed to be, because there is one truth in the world that people tend to forget when it comes to celebrities: no one is infallible.

'measurement'
minsaeng
How many people does it take...

There were many times in the years that he had known Park Jungmin where he wanted nothing more that to knock the perpetually spastic singer unconscious, but always managed to restrain himself.

Some times took more effort than others, however...such as the current one.

Jungmin hid behind HyungJoon and HyunJoong while KyuJong held the surprisingly strong YoungSaeng back from ripping the man's head off. The eldest and youngest were displaying a mixture of amusement and confusion while KyuJong was too busy holding YoungSaeng down to show much of anything.

Why Jungmin had thought it a good idea to force him into drag and take his measurements as a girl and release them over his Twitter was beyond him, but he didn't plan on letting the redhead live long enough to explain himself.

'friendship'
henhae

It was a well known fact that Donghae and Eunhyuk were best friends. One was rarely seen without the other, unless someone was on hunt for the two after they'd pulled yet another prank, and that was only because the pair had found a good hiding spot.

Henry and Ryeowook got along famously. They each knew when the other wanted to talk, or just relax in total silence, and felt easy around each other simply doing nothing rather than anything.

No one, however, was aware that on lonely nights when neither could sleep, or when they were given an honest to God moment to breathe, Henry and Donghae would find themselves holed up in whichever room was the emptiest and play computer games until they pass out over the keyboard(again), or Henry would teach Donghae to play the violin.

That is until he tried to be a rockstar and Henry is forced to take the violin away before his hyung has the chance to break it over the nonexistent amp on the invisible stage...

...again.

He felt it...

Donghae felt the absence much more deeply than the others. When he would wake up to an empty bed, or swear that he smelled Beijing Fried Rice when it was actually Ryeowook trying something far from said dish, the look in his eyes silenced whoever was there to witness it. Hyukjae and Yunho would call daily, asking about the shadow in his eyes that hadn't been there before, yet Donghae couldn't bring himself to answer.

Everyone tried to help, yet no one understood. Siwon and Heechul had been sole exceptions, having been in his shoes. That shadow had grown, manifesting as dark circles and fake smiles during the day and at night, dark rooms and the claustrophobic feeling of loneliness.

It wasn't until the 3:22 am phone call spoken in hushed accented whispers that Donghae found himself smiling the shadows away as he fell asleep to the quiet Chinese lullaby.

'car'
eunhae
They valued their lives...

The pair were clutching to each other, little more than millimeters separating them. Hyukjae felt the warm breath against his neck as Donghae's head rested in the crook between neck and shoulder. Breath rapid, they continued to hold each other as they rode out the experience together.

Once it was over, they inhaled deeply, not realizing that they had been holding their breaths. Sweat clung to their foreheads from the ride.

With a final look, they both agreed on a single statement:

They were never getting into a car with Leeteuk again.

'rain'
jinbum(nox!verse)

Kimbum sat through the dull meeting with his father and other shareholders, wishing to be anywhere but there. There was only one place he wanted to be, and it was not where he was.

The loud and echoing sounds of the downpour drew his thoughts from everything, instead focusing on nothing but the sound of the earth being cleansed, even if just for the short period. Rain had always fascinated him. It was as if the pure liquid washed him of his doubts and allowed an almost calm to wash over him.

There was one thing, however, that the rain could never wash away. The water would never touch Hyojin. It had no reason to, since the woman was perfect in his eyes, and in his eyes, even the rain paled in comparison to the calm his future wife brought to him.

Even if it were to never return, Jea would always be his precious and perfect rain.
