"Really?" Cho asked excitedly.
"Really," Jaejoong smiled, nodding.
Yunho and Jaejoong were sitting around the kitchen table in Kangin and Cho's newly bought and furnished house. The four, or rather three with Cho supervising, had been setting up the nursery. After four hours of 'No, not there', and 'Just a bit to the left', the friends were relaxing.
Kangin turned to Yunho. "What's his name?"
"Junsu."
"And Yoochun," Jaejoong added, laughing at the looks of shock and confusion on the couple's faces. "They're twins."
"Twins, really?" Cho questioned. "How old are they?"
"They're four," Yunho answered.
"They have to be the two cutest little things I've ever seen, guys. Junsu is this little sparkplug and Yoochun is much more laid back, but he's a little bundle of trouble," the blond gushed.
"Can we meet them?" she asked, just as excited as Jaejoong was. She and her husband had been praying that the couple, who were so desperate to be parents, would find a child of their own. "I want to meet the little ones that have you two so happy."
"I don't see why not," Yunho shrugged, smiling. "We were planning on visiting them after we finished up here, actually." He planned to say something else, but was cut off by his cell phone ringing. Looking at the caller ID, he grew confused.
"Who is it?" Jaejoong asked, frowning at his lover's expression.
"I don't know," he replied, answering the phone. "Hello?" The three watched as Yunho's brows shot straight to his hairline. "Yoochun?!"
"What?!" Jaejoong cried, jumping to his feet. "Is he okay? How's Su?!"
The younger waved him down as he kept his attention on the call. "What's wrong, Chunnie? Are you and your brother okay?...Okay, where are you?...I'll be right there. Can you stay there for me?...Good boy. I'm on my way." When he hung up, Jaejoong pounced. "It's okay, Jae. Someone tried splitting them up again, so they ran away. Stay here and I'm gonna bring them back here." He continued before the blond could say anything. "I'm sure they're hungry. Why don't you make something for them to eat? I'll be right back."
After a tense moment, Jaejoong sighed, nodding. "Just hurry."
Smiling softly, Yunho nodded, getting to his feet. "I'll be right back." He leaned over and kissed the older man before grabbing his keys and walking out the door.
Kangin stood as well. "I'll go get our bed ready in case they're tired. I'm sure Cho'll help you make something."
"Of course," the woman said, placing a hand on her friend's shoulder before smiling brightly. "I think we should make toasted cheese. What little kid doesn't like toasted cheese?"
After a moment, he smiled and nodded. "None that I've ever met."
Kangin watched on as his wife dragged Jaejoong into the kitchen before he turned and headed upstairs.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The sound of a car door snapped the three out of the conversation they were having as Jaejoong jumped to his feet and ran to the door, followed by Kangin and Cho. Opening the door, they saw Yunho walking up carrying two children.
"Is everything okay?" Jaejoong asked, taking Yoochun from his lover. The little boy snuggled into the man's chest, clutching his shirt in a tiny fist. "Hey, Sweetie," Jaejoong cooed. "You hungry?"
He nodded rapidly, not moving away. "We didn't have food yet," he whined.
Cho stepped forward then. "Well, me and Jaejoong made food just for you two."
"I'm hungry, Hyung," Junsu whimpered from Yunho's arms.
Yoochun pulled away a bit and looked at his little brother before nodding in agreement. "Okay, cuz Susu wants to." The group chuckled as Junsu brightened up and nodded happily.
"Well, we made you boys toasted cheese," Cho explained. "It's really yummy."
Yunho and Jaejoong walked into the kitchen and placed the twins in chairs next to each other. Noticing that the table was much higher than their small bodies, Kangin ran into the garage and returned with two booster seats. "I think this might help you two munchkins out a bit," he smiled as Yunho lifted both boys to allow Kangin to place the booster seats on each chair. The twins both giggled as Jaejoong reached out and tickled them before Yunho returned them to their seats so they could eat.
"Do they taste good?" Cho asked, laughing when the two nodded frantically in agreement, Junsu still in the process of taking a bite.
Jaejoong turned toward Yunho. "We should probably call and tell them that we found them."
He nodded. "Yeah, you're right, and I think we should tell them something else, too."
Jaejoong's smile was the only answer he needed.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
"Thank you for bringing them back," the director said as Yunho and Jaejoong sat down in the woman's office after having carried the twins to their room.
"It was no problem," Yunho replied, holding his tongue. "In fact, there was something we wanted to talk to you about."
"Oh?" the woman questioned, intrigued.
"Yes," Jaejoong answered, expression expertly blank. "We decided that we want to adopt."
"Well that's great! Who did you want? Junsu? Or maybe Yoochun."
"Both," Yunho stated.
"I will not have them separated. I don't care how long it takes, I just know that we need those two, and we'll do whatever it takes to get them." Without giving the woman a chance to reply, Jaejoong left her office.
"Our lawyer will take care of everything," Yunho said, smiling as he followed his lover, pulling out his phone and making a call. He was finished by the time the couple reached the room. "Are you sure, Jae?" the law student asked.
"Positive. You?"
"Absolutely."
Knocking on the door, they opened it to see the twins coloring in one of the coloring books that Jaejoong had bought for them. Walking over to the bed, the two sat down, each grabbing a boy and holding him in his lap. Yoochun snuggled into Yunho's hold while Junsu fidgeted in Jaejoong's.
"Me and Yunho have a question for you," Jaejoong began, getting the twins' attention. "We wanted to know if you both wanted to come live with me and Yunho."
Yoochun blinked before narrowing his eyes. "You don't just want Susu?"
Yunho smiled and lightly tickled the boy, making him giggle. "Nope. We want Susu, and Yoochunnie, too," he explained, ruffling the child's brown hair.
"It's up to you, though. We won't make you come with us if you don't want to, but we promise that we won't let anyone split you two up anymore," Jaejoong declared, hugging Junsu tightly.
The little boy squirmed a bit before settling down. "You really won't take me away?"
The blond shook his head at the wide eyed plea. "Of course not. You two are brothers, and we love you both. It wouldn't be right taking just one of you."
"So how about it? Do you wanna live with me and Jaejoong?"
The twins looked at each other before both smiling brightly, nodding enthusiastically.
