HyungJoon was seeing red as he practically threw his mouse across the room, glaring harshly at the computer screen. It had been a rare off day, even rarer given that he was the only one that he knew of at least for a couple more hours. Realizing that he could essentially get away with and do whatever he wanted to, he decided that taking over the dorm's computer would be a perfect idea since planning a night out was just far too much effort.

That, and he was just too lazy do deal with the process.

Reading the comments on the fan cafes, however, made HyungJoon seriously regret the decision. The further down he scrolled, the angrier he became. While it was true that his hyung was still brand new to acting save music videos and the occasional cameo here and there, what he was seeing was just plain cruel. And the fact that they would so viciously belittle the man, that pushed himself harder than anyone he'd ever met...

And if insulting his acting wasn't enough, they had to go after his vocal talent as well.

Unable to even look at the screen for fear of punching a hole through it, HyungJoon shut it down and went to the gym downstairs to try and relieve the anger.

He had only just returned three hours later dead tired and in desperate need of a shower when HyunJoong walked in, smiling that blinding and somewhat spacy smile of his as he dropped his bag by the door. Toeing off his shoes, HyunJoong padded across the room and dropped onto the plush couch with an audible 'oof'. He squirmed around until he was finally comfortable, his head hanging over an arm and a leg draped over the back.

HyungJoon stopped on his way to the bathroom to watch the older man with more than a little amusement. Only HyunJoong would find that comfortable. "How was your day?" he asked as he leaned against the wall.

"Eh," was the reply. "Jun Hyung and MinHo yah tried to drown me, but nothing out of the ordinary," he added with a grin and a shrug. "How about you? Hit the gym?"

The younger man snorted. "Whatever gave you that idea?"

"I dunno. You smell and you look like you're going to fall over if I so much as breathe on you," HyunJoong reasoned. "Go shower. I'm too comfortable to move anyway."

Shaking his head and feeling a bit better in his leader's presence, HyungJoon did just that.

Once he had showered and dressed, HyungJoon returned to the main room and wandered into the kitchen to look for food. They had all noticed how HyunJoong's face seemed to be thinning out and his skin appeared a bit more washed out which was something that they were all keeping an eye on. "Hyung, Kyu left us food. Want some?"

"If Kyu made it, then I want it," came HyunJoong's muffled answer which made HyungJoon wonder just how he was positioned now. He had to stop that train of thought when it took a turn that he really didn't want to follow with the older man in the next room. Forcing back the extremely distracting imagery, HyungJoon heated up two plates and brought them out to the den. HyunJoong had flipped himself over, face buried into a pillow and leg now hanging off the couch.

"How is that even comfortable?" HyungJoon asked as he placed the food on the table and pushed at his leader with his knee in a bid to make him shift and give him a place to sit.

"It just is," HyunJoong answered as he shimmied himself into a seated position. The bags under his eyes were visible even under the coverup that he knew HyunJoong always carried with him. He didn't say anything about it though; he never said anything about it. "So what'd you do today? You had a free day, right?"

At the mention of his free time, HyungJoon recalled what he had been doing that prompted him to kill himself in the gym. "Um, nothing much. Just played around on the computer." He hoped that HyunJoong wouldn't call him on the fact that he refused to meet his eyes. After all, he was a pathetically bad liar.

HyunJoong quirked a brow but didn't follow up. He could probably figure out what he had been doing online. "Were you looking at porn again?" he asked teasingly, chuckling as the maknae choked on the bite he had been taking.

"Hyung," he whined, dropping the chopsticks in favor of looking like a kicked puppy. "Why are you all so mean to me? I do not watch that stuff!"

"Sure you don't, Joonie. Sure you don't."

The two continued eating, small talk littering the silence, before HyunJoong placed his plate down and leaned back. "So what're they saying now?" he asked after a moment. He smiled wryly when HyungJoon looked at him curiously. "I'm sure you know what I mean, Joon. You practically live in fan cafes when you have time off."

Pursing his lips, the younger singer put his dish down beside HyunJoong's, appetite all but gone. "How do you deal with that?" he finally asked, head tilted as he looked at his hyung. "I mean..."

HyunJoong smiled, though HyungJoon noticed that it didn't reach his eyes. "Everyone's entitled to their opinions, right?"

"There's stating your opinion and then there's being cruel."

"Joonie, think of it like this. You were bullied in school, right? I know I was." When HyungJoon nodded, he went on. "Did it continue when you ignored it, or what?"

HyungJoon shook his head. "No. They usually got bored and moved on to someone else," he replied, pausing when he realized the point that HyunJoong was trying to make. "That still doesn't make it right."

"No it doesn't, but it happens. I just think of it as really really blunt constructive criticism, I suppose. Take it in and learn from it." Smile easing into something much more familiar and real, he reached out and poked HyungJoon in the cheek. "Besides, I have you acting as my black knight, now don't I? Don't think I don't know about that other account you have for dealing with the antis and haters."

A blush lit HyungJoon's face when he was called out. He had created the alternate account to protect his celebrity status as well as use it as a means to protect those he cared about. "Well someone has to look out for you since you certainly don't do it," he mumbled, blush darkening as he noticed the leader's grin widening.

"Well thank you then," HyunJoong remarked before getting to his feet and stretching out. "Well I'm beat. I think it's about time for me to crawl into bed and sleep until noon."

Before he left however, HyunJoong placed a hand under HyungJoon's chin and tilted his head up. He laughed lightly at the look of confusion on the younger man's face before he leaned over and kissed him. Pulling away, HyunJoong winked playfully, though his feelings were clearly conveyed. "Thanks again, Joonie. I mean it."

HyungJoon just stared blankly at HyunJoong, eyes hazed over slightly as his mind had completely shut down at the kiss. The man's lips had felt amazing against his own and he only wished that his brain hadn't short circuited so that he could have properly kissed him back.

Snapping out of it when HyunJoong began walking away, he quickly got to his feet and chased after the man, deciding to return the favor.

They did have the place to themselves after all.
